Four-Step Refurbishment Process
｜Coarse Sanding｜Smooths out deep and shallow knife marks caused by long-term use, removes food residue, bacteria, and mold difficult to clean from crevices, and restores the hygiene of the cutting board surface.
｜Fine Sanding｜Removes burrs, making the uneven cutting board smooth and flat again, ensuring safer food preparation.
｜Double-Layer Food-Grade Wood Oil Penetration and Curing｜Each layer of wood oil requires 24 hours to set to ensure complete absorption by the cutting board. This 48-hour double penetration process effectively prevents water, food residue, and bacteria from seeping into the cutting board, thereby reducing the chance of mold; maintains internal moisture balance, preventing cracking and warping; and restores the natural color and delicate wood grain of the cutting board.
｜Food-Grade Wood Wax Application｜The wood wax forms a physical protective layer, effectively blocking direct contact with water, juice, and oil stains; it also slows down the evaporation of wood oil from within the cutting board, extending the curing effect.

After successfully placing an order, the old chopping board can be delivered to our Kwun Tong studio either by yourself or by courier (shipping paid by sender). The entire refurbishment process takes 7-10 days, after which the item will be available for self-pickup or shipped according to the customer's pre-selected method.

- During the renovation process, sanding is involved, and the thickness, length, and width of the cutting board will be reduced by approximately 2-3mm due to the removal of damaged parts.
- Deep knife marks, cracks, internal mold, or ingrained old stains cannot be 100% completely eliminated, only improved to the best extent possible.
- During the renovation process, natural wood knots, color differences, or cracks within the wood may become visible.

- Customers must clean the surface of the cutting board themselves beforehand. An additional fee of $50 will be charged for extra cleaning.
- If the cutting board is severely warped, rotten, or has structural damage, it may be deemed to have "no renovation value" and returned. Shipping costs will be borne by the customer.
- If hidden internal rot, insect damage, or metallic foreign objects are found during the sanding process, additional processing fees will be negotiated, or the service may be terminated.
- Customers should inspect the refurbished product within 48 hours of receipt. Complaints about craftsmanship issues will not be accepted after this period.
- The durability after renovation depends on the customer's usage habits (e.g., do not put in dishwasher, do not soak in water, require regular oiling/waxing, etc.). Cracking or mold due to improper customer maintenance is not covered by after-sales service.
